We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our office-based surgery center. This position provides nursing care and support to patients before and after outpatient procedures and works closely with providers and other members of the healthcare team. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, daytime hours. No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. Essential Job Functions Complete pre-procedure nursing assessments and review patient information, medications, allergies, and required documentation. Obtain and document vital signs and other required information. Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and provide pre-procedure instructions and support. Assist with IV access and administer medications as permitted by applicable requirements, provider orders, and organizational policies. Work closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members. Monitor patients during the recovery period following outpatient procedures. Monitor vital signs, comfort, pain, and overall patient condition. Communicate changes or concerns regarding a patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare provider. Provide patients and caregivers with post-procedure instructions and education. Assist with the discharge process according to established procedures. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment. Follow established infection prevention, safety, and clinical procedures. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Assist with daily clinical and administrative activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Education Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. Experience Previous experience in pre-procedure care, post-procedure recovery, perioperative nursing, procedural nursing, or outpatient surgery preferred. Urology nursing experience preferred. Two years of relevant nursing experience preferred. Licensure & Certifications Current, active Florida LPN license in good standing. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification.

McIver Clinic is seeking an experienced and dependable PRN Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our Office-Based Surgery Center team. This position provides nursing care to patients before and after outpatient procedures and supports a safe, efficient, and positive patient experience throughout their visit. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, communicates effectively with patients and coworkers, and can independently assess patients and recognize changes in their condition. Essential Responsibilities Pre-Procedure Nursing Complete nursing assessments and verify patient readiness for scheduled procedures. Review medical history, allergies, medications, laboratory results, and required clearances. Verify required documentation and consents. Obtain and document vital signs and other required assessments. Initiate and maintain IV access as appropriate. Administer medications in accordance with provider orders and facility policies. Provide patients and caregivers with information regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge. Communicate abnormal findings or concerns to the appropriate provider or anesthesia team. Recovery Nursing Provide nursing care to patients during the post-procedure recovery period. Monitor patients and assess respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and overall condition. Monitor pain, nausea, and procedure sites and provide appropriate interventions. Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate provider. Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility policies. Assess patients for readiness for discharge based on established criteria. Provide clear discharge instructions to patients and designated caregivers. Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation. Clinical Support Provide nursing support for outpatient urology and interventional radiology procedures. Monitor patients for potential complications and changes in condition. Monitor procedural and vascular access sites as applicable. Provide care following general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and procedural sedation as applicable. Reinforce procedure-specific discharge instructions. Work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, surgical technologists, radiology personnel, and administrative staff. The LPN assists with patient assessments, appointments, procedures, laboratory services, patient education, and coordination of care. *Essential Functions* · Assist with obtaining and monitoring patient vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent clinical information. · Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while providing appropriate education and answering patient questions. · Perform routine laboratory testing and specimen collection in accordance with established protocols. · Provide patient education related to reproductive health, pregnancy, maternity/postpartum care, and other women’s health concerns. · Assist with maintaining accurate patient records, appointment scheduling, and other administrative functions as assigned. · Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards. *Primary Duties* · Obtain, verify, and accurately document patient health histories and clinical information. · Perform urine testing, blood draws, and other laboratory procedures as directed. · Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). · Prepare patients for office visits, examinations, and procedures and assist the provider as needed. · Schedule appointments, follow-up appointments, and other patient services as appropriate. · Respond to patient questions and provide appropriate support regarding OB/GYN-related concerns within the scope of the position. · Respond to patient questions and communications through the patient portal in accordance with office protocols. · Provide telephone triage and appropriate clinical guidance within the LPN's scope of practice and established office protocols. · Educate patients regarding medications, treatments, procedures, reproductive health, prenatal care, postpartum care, and other applicable areas of women's health. · Collaborate with providers and administrative staff regarding patient care, billing, insurance concerns, and coordination of services. · Recognize and appropriately communicate abnormal findings, patient concerns, or changes in condition to the provider or appropriate clinical staff. · Participate in maintaining continuity of patient care and follow established workflows, policies, and regulatory requirements. · Assist with OB/GYN procedures and other clinical responsibilities as assigned. · Assist with OB coordination duties, including laboratory continuity, delivery scheduling, follow-up, and troubleshooting patient-care needs. · Maintain competency in required clinical skills and participate in ongoing education and training.
