*Starting Pay: $19.00/hour + $1.00/hour Attendance Bonus* *Lead a Team. Serve the Customer. Build Your Career.* Are you dependable, organized, comfortable leading others, and ready to take responsibility for the success of a team? MSI Inventory Service Corporation is looking for *Inventory Team Leaders* who can combine hands-on inventory work with leadership, technology, and customer service. This isn't a position where you simply supervise from the sidelines. Our Team Leaders work alongside their teams while directing the inventory, operating MSI's inventory system, communicating with customer management, and making sure the job is completed accurately, professionally, and efficiently. For the right person, this is an opportunity to develop real leadership experience and build a career with MSI. About MSI MSI Inventory Service Corporation is one of the nation's largest independent inventory service companies. Our teams provide professional physical inventory services for grocery stores, convenience stores, pharmacies, department stores, hardware stores, wholesale operations, and other businesses. Our mission is: *We are the confidence behind better business decisions.* We earn that confidence through accurate inventory data, dependable execution, and professional service. Our Team Leaders are on the front line of delivering that promise. What Does an MSI Team Leader Do? An MSI Team Leader is both a *working member of the inventory team and the leader responsible for the inventory event*. You'll perform the work of an Inventory Auditor while also taking responsibility for directing the team and managing the inventory process. Your responsibilities include: · Performing physical inventory counts using handheld inventory technology · Leading and directing Inventory Auditors during assigned inventories · Preparing the team for the inventory and communicating expectations · Starting, operating, monitoring, and closing inventories using MSI's laptop-based inventory system · Monitoring inventory progress, productivity, accuracy, and results · Reviewing inventory totals and information throughout the count · Identifying and addressing issues that could affect the successful completion of the inventory · Serving as MSI's primary on-site point of contact with customer management · Communicating professionally with customers before, during, and at the completion of the inventory · Coaching and supporting team members during the inventory · Maintaining MSI standards for accuracy, productivity, professionalism, and customer service · Driving an MSI company vehicle and transporting team members when assigned · Helping ensure every inventory is completed successfully This Is a Working Leadership Position MSI Team Leaders lead from within the team. You won't spend the entire inventory standing behind a laptop or watching other people work. You'll count inventory when needed. You'll solve problems. You'll coach employees. You'll communicate with the customer. You'll monitor the inventory system. And you'll help keep the entire team moving toward a successful result. We believe leaders should understand the work because they're willing and able to do the work themselves. What We're Looking For Successful Team Leaders demonstrate: · Dependability · Leadership · Personal responsibility · Professional communication · Organization · Attention to detail · Sound judgment · Customer service · Coachability · Confidence learning and using technology · Ability to remain calm and professional when problems arise · Ability to direct people clearly and respectfully · Willingness to hold themselves and others accountable to MSI standards Previous inventory experience can be valuable, but *our greatest interest is your ability to work with people and lead them effectively*. We're looking for people who can earn the trust of their team, their Area Manager, and our customers. Experience MSI develops and promotes Team Leaders from within, and we also welcome qualified applicants with previous leadership experience. You do *not* have to come from the inventory industry to have valuable leadership experience. Relevant experience may include: · Leading or supervising employees · Directing teams in fast-paced work environments · Training and coaching employees · Assigning work and keeping a team organized · Holding employees accountable to performance standards · Communicating expectations clearly · Solving problems while leading a team · Working directly with customers or customer management · Taking responsibility for the successful completion of a team's work Previous inventory experience is helpful, but *the ability to lead people matters more than experience with another company's inventory systems or technology*. MSI will teach the right person our systems, processes, and standards. Starting pay may vary based on directly relevant leadership experience and overall qualifications. Compensation & Opportunity · *Starting pay: $19.00/hour* · *$1.00/hour Attendance Bonus* · Performance-based pay increases · Referral Bonus Program · Leadership development · Ongoing coaching and training · Advancement opportunities · Promotion from within whenever possible Team Leaders typically receive more work opportunities and weekly hours than Inventory Auditors because of the additional responsibilities of the position. Career Growth Team Leader is an important first step in MSI's field leadership structure. For employees who consistently demonstrate strong performance, judgment, professionalism, and leadership, the career path can include: *Inventory Auditor → Team Leader → Area Manager → District Manager* We don't believe leadership development begins after someone receives a promotion. It begins when people demonstrate that they're ready to accept greater responsibility. Customer Leadership During an assigned inventory, the Team Leader is often the face of MSI. You'll work directly with customer management to: · Introduce yourself and establish professional communication · Confirm inventory expectations · Communicate progress · Address questions and concerns · Resolve issues professionally · Review inventory information and results · Help ensure the customer has confidence in the work MSI provides This responsibility requires professionalism, good judgment, and strong communication skills.
