    Turbine Component TIG Welding Specialist

    Step into a day restoring power-generation components When you arrive, you’ll review blueprints and technical specs, plan your sequence, and get hands-on with precision repairs. Most of your day (about 75%) is spent expertly grinding and blending welds and surfaces to meet OEM and customer standards. The remaining time (about 25%) you’ll perform high-precision TIG weld repairs on delicate turbine and generator components, minimizing distortion and maintaining tight tolerances. What you’ll do Repair and manufacture turbine/generator parts, with an emphasis on TIG welding. Grind, blend, and finish welds and surfaces to OEM/customer satisfaction (approximately 75% grinding/blending, 25% welding). Disassemble and reassemble turbine/generator components. Inspect parts and components using precision measurement equipment. Prepare and blend parts, including media blasting. Coordinate daily priorities with job site managers. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently. Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Pitch in and support other shop areas when needed. What you bring At least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred). Background in the Power Generation industry (preferred). Willingness to work significant mandatory overtime during peak periods. Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection methods. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications. Demonstrated skill performing precision welds on thin or delicate parts with minimal distortion. Capability to set up and operate welding equipment independently. Strong mechanical aptitude.
