The primary focus of the role is hands-on, real-time response at Palatka: immediate diagnosis and repair across approximately 15 production machines so that downtime is kept to a minimum. This is a floor-based working role, not a desk or dispatch position. Each of the other Florida production sites continues to staff its own Maintenance Technicians, who remain responsible for routine maintenance and first-line repairs at their own location. Beyond Palatka, the Maintenance Manager sets maintenance standards and procedures for Florida production, trains and develops site technicians, serves as the escalation point for issues that exceed site technician scope, and travels to other Florida sites as needed to support major repairs, installations, and capital projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION Serve as the hands-on maintenance lead at the Palatka production facility: diagnose, repair, and maintain approximately 15 pieces of production equipment, responding in real time to keep production running. Act as the technical resource and escalation point for the other Florida production sites (Fluent and Planet 13), which continue to staff their own Maintenance Technicians and handle routine maintenance and first-line repairs on site. Train, develop, and set performance and safety standards for Maintenance Technicians across Florida production sites; technicians remain assigned to, and supported by, their home facility. Build, implement, and manage the preventive maintenance program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building systems, and production equipment at Palatka, and provide the framework and standards the other Florida sites follow. Oversee diagnosis and repair of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and coordinate specialty repairs with licensed contractors when needed. Plan, budget, and track maintenance spend, parts inventory, and equipment/tooling for Palatka, and advise on the same across the other Florida sites. Source, vet, and manage outside vendors and contractors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pest control, landscaping, waste, etc.). Establish and enforce safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA-aligned procedures for maintenance work across Florida production facilities. Ensure facilities remain compliant with Florida cannabis regulations and pass state/local inspections. Manage on-call coverage and emergency response at Palatka, including after-hours escalations, and serve as the regional escalation point when an issue exceeds a site technician’s scope. Read and apply blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical specifications for installations, retrofits, and equipment commissioning. Conduct facility walk-throughs and audits at Palatka, and periodic reviews at the other Florida sites; document findings and drive corrective action to completion. Partner with Production, Cultivation, and Security leadership at each site to minimize downtime and coordinate maintenance around operations. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation for Palatka, and support the other sites in keeping consistent records. Other duties and responsibilities as required. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience in a maintenance leadership, supervisory, or field supervisor role, ideally spanning multiple sites or facilities. Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general building systems. Proven ability to lead, train, and hold a maintenance team accountable to quality and safety standards. Skilled in blueprint reading, equipment installation, and mechanical troubleshooting/repair. Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance budgets. Comfortable operating in and managing a warehouse/industrial production environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize real-time production demands at the home site alongside support requests from other facilities. Cannabis or other regulated-industry facilities experience is a plus but not required. High attention to detail to ensure all work across sites meets quality and safety standards.
