B2B Sales Representative – Technology Solutions

Emcom Systems | Orange Park, FL 32065

B2B Sales Representative – Technology Solutions *$45,000–$55,000 Base + Uncapped Commission | $100K+ Earnings Potential* *Orange Park, FL | Full-Time | U.S. Sales Territory* *A SALES CAREER WITH ROOM TO GROW* Emcom Systems is looking for an outgoing, ambitious and genuinely motivated person to join our sales team in Orange Park. We provide specialized *hardware and software emergency communications solutions* to organizations throughout the United States. Do you need to know our industry? *No. We can teach you that.* Do you need 10 years of sales experience? *No.* What we do need is someone who enjoys talking to people, isn't afraid to pick up the phone, follows through, responds quickly and has the drive to turn a conversation into a relationship — and ultimately a customer. Previous B2B sales experience is certainly preferred, but *personality, attitude and potential matter more to us than finding the perfect résumé.* *THE OPPORTUNITY* This is primarily a new-business sales position. Emcom provides leads and sales opportunities, but you'll also be expected to create opportunities of your own through outbound calling, emailing, research, networking and good old-fashioned persistence. Our sales approach is consultative. You'll learn our products, talk with customers about what they're trying to accomplish and work with our technical team to develop the right solution. You'll manage those relationships from the first conversation through proposal and sale — and, hopefully, for many years afterward. *We pay higher commissions on self-generated net-new business*, and commission is uncapped. Successful salespeople can earn *$100,000+ annually once established.* *WHO MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT?* We're deliberately keeping an open mind. You might be an experienced B2B salesperson looking for a new opportunity. You might be earlier in your sales career and looking for a company where you can learn, develop and substantially increase your earnings as you become successful. Or you might be transitioning from a completely different career but have the confidence, communication skills and drive that we believe can make someone successful in sales. We're also a *veteran-friendly employer* and welcome applications from transitioning and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces who are interested in bringing their communication, leadership and relationship-building skills into a commercial environment. Whatever your background, we're looking for someone who is: * Outgoing and comfortable starting conversations * Confident on the phone * Highly responsive * Persistent without being pushy * Naturally good with people * Self-motivated and willing to create their own opportunities * Organized and dependable * Curious and willing to learn * Motivated by success and the opportunity to earn more *We can teach products. We can teach an industry. Drive, personality and work ethic are much harder to teach.* *AND THEN THERE'S FRIDAY...* We think people do their best work when they're trusted, treated well and have a life outside the office. Our normal office hours are *8:30 AM–4:30 PM Monday through Thursday*. *Friday is a little different.* On Fridays, our team works from home from *9:00 AM until 12:00 PM — and then the weekend starts.* Yes, you're paid for the full week. Friday morning is deliberately relaxed. We have a short team call at 9:00, take care of anything that needs attention, and we don't even insist that cameras are on. We know it's Friday morning. Our employees love having Friday afternoons available for appointments, errands, family, travel or simply getting an early start on the weekend. We're a customer-focused business, so an occasional important customer issue may require some flexibility. *That's the exception, not the rule.* *Full-time pay. Four days in the office. Three hours from home on Friday.* *COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS* * *$45,000–$55,000 base salary*, depending on experience * *Uncapped commission* * Higher commissions for self-generated new business * *$100K+ earnings potential* for successful salespeople once established * Health insurance * Paid vacation and wellness time * Paid holidays * Business travel expenses reimbursed * Product and industry training *A FEW PRACTICAL THINGS* This position is based at our *Orange Park, Florida office* and covers customers throughout the United States. You'll need reliable transportation and your own vehicle for occasional local business travel. Eligible business travel expenses are reimbursed. Some travel may occasionally be required for customer meetings, trade shows and other business activities. *ABOUT EMCOM SYSTEM* Emcom Systems provides specialized hardware and software emergency communications solutions to organizations throughout the United States. We're an established company founded in 2002, but we don't believe that being professional requires being overly corporate. We work hard, look after our customers, trust our employees and try to create an environment where good people want to stay. If you're *smart, outgoing, responsive, willing to pick up the phone and hungry to build something for yourself*, we'd like to meet you. Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * Health insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave Application Question(s): * This position requires you to generate some of your own sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, research and prospecting, in addition to working leads provided by Emcom.
