    Part-Time Family Medicine Physician

Pareto Population Health Management Practice | Jacksonville, FL 32209

*Part-Time Family Medicine Physician* *Pareto Clinic | Jacksonville, Florida* *Part-Time | Up to 20 Hours per Week* *Compensation: $105–$125 per hour* Practice Medicine. Build Something Better. Keep Your Life. Pareto Clinic is looking for a *Part-Time Family Medicine Physician* who wants meaningful clinical work without giving up flexibility. We are a Jacksonville-based, population health–focused primary care organization building a modern approach to Family Medicine—one that combines excellent patient care with data, technology, teamwork, evidence-based medicine, and thoughtful clinical systems. This is a *true clinical position*. You will have your own patient panel, practice Family Medicine, build relationships with patients, and manage both acute and chronic conditions. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced practice providers, participate in population health initiatives, help manage medically complex patients, and contribute to the systems we are building around value-based care. If you are looking for part-time medicine that is *clinically meaningful, intellectually interesting, technologically forward-thinking, and flexible*, we would like to meet you. Schedule This position is designed to be flexible and is expected to be *up to approximately 20 hours per week*. We are particularly interested in physicians who appreciate the flexibility of *half-day schedules across several days of the week*, although the final schedule can be designed around the needs of the physician, the practice, and our patients. The goal is to provide meaningful continuity for your patient panel while allowing you to maintain flexibility in the rest of your professional and personal life. What You Will Do You will provide longitudinal Family Medicine and outpatient primary care, including: * Acute and chronic disease management * Preventive care and health maintenance * Medication management * Laboratory and diagnostic review * Hospital and emergency-department follow-up * Transitional care management * Specialist coordination * Patient and family education * Evidence-based clinical decision-making * Timely documentation and follow-up You will have your *own patient panel* and will be expected to develop meaningful physician-patient relationships. *Continuity matters. Relationships matter. Being someone's physician still matters.* More Than Traditional Primary Care At Pareto Clinic, we believe modern Family Medicine is becoming one of the most sophisticated disciplines in healthcare. Excellent primary care requires more than treating the patient in front of you. It requires understanding the entire population you serve. We look at questions such as: * Who has recently been hospitalized? * Who is repeatedly using the emergency department? * Whose chronic disease is deteriorating? * Who has missed an important preventive-care opportunity? * Which patients have multiple specialists but no one coordinating the whole picture? * Where can better primary care meaningfully change an outcome? That is the work we are building. Our Pareto Population A relatively small portion of a patient population often accounts for a disproportionate amount of clinical complexity, healthcare utilization, coordination, and cost. We call this group our *Pareto Population*. These patients may have: * Multiple chronic conditions * Recurrent hospitalizations * Complex medication regimens * Multiple specialists * Social barriers to care * Fragmented healthcare experiences They require more than another office visit. They require *clinical judgment, persistence, coordination, teamwork, data, and well-designed systems*. If complicated patients make you curious rather than frustrated, you may enjoy working at Pareto Clinic. AI-Enabled Clinical Practice We believe technology should give physicians *more time with patients—not less*. Pareto Clinic is an enthusiastic adopter of technology that reduces administrative burden and supports better clinical decision-making. Our clinicians use tools including: * *Ambient AI documentation* * *AI-enabled evidence resources such as OpenEvidence* * Population health analytics * Clinical dashboards * Quality and utilization data * Evidence-based clinical decision support We would rather have physicians: *Listening. Thinking. Examining. Teaching. Making decisions.* —not spending unnecessary time staring at a keyboard. You do not need to be an AI expert. You do need to be *curious, adaptable, and willing to learn*. Clinical Collaboration & Leadership Depending on experience and schedule, this position may include opportunities to: * Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants * Provide clinical supervision and guidance to advanced practice providers * Review complex cases * Mentor other clinicians * Support medical assistants and clinical team members * Improve clinical workflows * Participate in quality-improvement initiatives * Help develop complex-care strategies * Review population health and quality data * Contribute to clinical strategy and systems development We are not looking for someone who simply wants to generate visits. We are looking for a physician who enjoys *practicing medicine and helping make the clinical system better*. Our Learning Environment We ask a simple question: *“What does the evidence actually say?”* Our clinicians are encouraged to investigate questions, challenge assumptions, review current evidence, and continuously improve their practice. Our clinical environment incorporates: * Population health analytics * Quality and utilization data * Clinical dashboards * Team-based care * Pod-based workflows * Lean and process-improvement principles * TeamSTEPPS concepts * Structured quality-improvement methods * Evidence-based clinical decision support We are interested in both the *science of medicine* and the *science of building systems that reliably produce excellent outcomes*. Who We Are Looking For This position may be a particularly good fit for a physician who: * Wants meaningful part-time clinical work * Values flexibility in their weekly schedule * Wants to remain clinically active without a traditional full-time commitment * Is interested in value-based care and population health * Enjoys managing medically complex patients * Is comfortable collaborating with and mentoring other clinicians * Is interested in AI-enabled clinical practice * Appreciates data and evidence * Enjoys working with capable, curious people * Believes well-designed systems can improve patient outcomes Most importantly, we care about *how you think and how you practice*. You will probably enjoy Pareto Clinic if you: * Still genuinely enjoy taking care of patients * Like learning * Are comfortable with technology * Find AI interesting rather than threatening * Enjoy working with smart, hardworking people * Can manage complicated patients * Enjoy teaching and mentorship * Take patient care seriously without taking yourself too seriously About Pareto Clinic Pareto Clinic is a Jacksonville-based primary care organization focused on *value-based care and population health*. Our work centers around: *Access. Patient Experience. Quality. Stewardship. Engagement.* We believe sophisticated healthcare outcomes require sophisticated clinical systems. That means combining compassionate physicians with strong teams, thoughtful workflows, useful technology, actionable data, evidence-based medicine, and attention to the patient experience. Our philosophy is simple: *Healthcare, done correctly, is measurable compassion.* QualificationsRequired * MD or DO degree * Current unrestricted Florida medical license * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine * Current DEA registration or eligibility * Minimum 1 year of clinical experience * Strong clinical judgment and communication skills * Comfortable practicing outpatient primary care * Comfortable collaborating with and supervising advanced practice providers * Comfortable learning and using contemporary clinical technology Especially Valuable * Value-based care experience * Population health experience * Complex-care or chronic-disease management experience * APP supervision or mentorship experience * Quality-improvement experience * Interest in AI-enabled clinical practice * Interest in healthcare operations or systems improvement You do not need to be an expert in every area. *Curiosity matters.* Compensation *$105–$125 per hour* Final compensation will depend on: * Clinical experience * Schedule and availability * Supervisory responsibilities * Complex-care experience * Leadership contribution * Overall role configuration This is a *part-time position of up to approximately 20 hours per week*. For the right physician, the role may include a combination of direct patient care, clinical leadership, APP mentorship, quality improvement, population health, and clinical systems development. Why Pareto Clinic? There are plenty of places where a physician can work a shift, see a list of patients, sign charts, and go home. There is nothing wrong with that. *This just isn't that job.* We are looking for someone who wants to: * Have their own patients * Build meaningful physician-patient relationships * Work with smart, capable people * Manage interesting and complex medicine * Learn continuously * Mentor other clinicians * Use technology intelligently * Think about population health * Help build better systems of care If the intersection of *Family Medicine, AI, data, population health, and value-based care* sounds like an interesting place to spend part of your week, we would like to meet you. Join Pareto Clinic. *Come practice Family Medicine—and help us build what comes next.* Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week Work Location: In person
